This Wild Space consists of an area of lawn left untouched in a small private back garden, with a wilder area of nettles, leaves and sticks. The Wild Space is roughly 10 square metres.
Species that might be seen in this Wild Space
9 butterfly species have been recorded so far (including Holly Blue, Speckled Wood, Red Admiral, Comma and Orange-tip) and wildflower species that have appeared in the unmown lawn include Cuckoo Flower and Meadow Buttercup. Wood Avens has colonised the wilder area too by a trellis supporting a honeysuckle.
