Great Big Green Week is the UK’s biggest celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature.
Thousands of events are hosted across the UK, that demonstrate the brilliant action communities are taking to tackle climate change and restore nature – everything from practical actions such as planting pollinator friendly plants to letter writing workshops, festivals to football matches, seaweed foraging to school assemblies.
The theme this year, Together for Good, reflects a simple truth: when people come together in their communities, they create real, practical benefits – for local places, for nature, for climate and for our shared future. From small, everyday actions to bigger community events, Great Big Green Week makes that collective action visible.
The more action that happens locally, the bigger the national impact. Great Big Green Week clearly shows that these aren’t isolated acts; they’re part of a growing movement of collective action for climate and nature.
